We understand that when people hire Nexus, they are expecting a rocking party. We pride ourselves on our years of experience and careful knowing of how to choose the right material in just the right way at just the right time to keep the party going. Our fans have told us how the flow of the music during the show kept their event flowing and exciting. Rock to pop to funk, and everything in between, Nexus keeps the mood of the party exciting, ever changing and never boring.

Playing Your Requests

As a band that performs weddings, Bar Mitzvahs, galas and parties, Nexus has the reputation for knowing exactly what to play and when, to keep the party rocking! In addition, we encourage you to peruse our repertoire list. Take a look and let us know exactly what tunes and what genre you would like us to play, knowing that the band is always ready to accommodate your requests.

If you are looking for a tune not on our list, let us know and we will do our best to learn it. This way, you can select the exact music you want us to play.

Music for Your Ceremony or Cocktails

If you are planning a wedding and are looking for great music for your ceremony or your cocktails, ask us about our duos and trios. As a service to our clients, since our players would already be on location for the reception, we can take musicians from the band and have them play as either as a solo, duo or trio. This allows you an easy and a quality solution for these moments while keeping the cost affordable.

The ceremony may call upon either a keyboard/guitar or a keyboard/sax duo to serenade your guests. Add the bass or possibly the saxophone during cocktails to create the perfect ambiance for your event.

When it comes time for the reception, these players join the full band where you will hear the Rock & Roll that Nexus is known for.  This makes for a complete one-stop shopping solution for your wedding band needs, a little less stress in your planning, and less stress on your wallet.

Nexus has experience playing for all kinds of events, from bar mitzvahs, weddings, parties, galas, corporate events, to the concert halls. No matter where they play, when working a private party, the band is always working the music around the specific needs of the moment. The band will play more quietly as food is served, then will rock out after dinner, getting everyone on the dance floor as they dance the night away!

How We Book and How We Charge

The Nexus Rock Band performs in concert, plays for weddings, clubs and parties where the people appreciate live music.

We are a project band, and we play together because we love the music. It is a job, an income and a living, but also a love, and we do it for the passion. So, as you consider booking us for your function, take a listen to the sound samples on this website. If you like the music, give us a call.

We always need to talk with each client in order to learn their needs and to make sure the band is the right fit for the event, and for this reason will not book the band unless we are able to consult with the client first. However, after we talk with you and learn about what you are looking for, if you wish to hire us, we will try to be reasonable and give you the best deal possible. We especially appreciate the client who believes that nothing is better than live music when you want to have a party. So, if you like the music and like the band, call us, and let's see what we can do for you.

Affordability

If either space or money is an issue, hire the band as a trio or quartet. You’ll get the same great party experience at a more affordable rate.  Please don't hesitate to ask us about this option.

Working with Event Coordinators and Other Vendors On The Event Day

We pride ourselves on communicating with the event coordinator, family members, and the venue representative at the party, so that the band can coordinate to play the appropriate music based upon the needs of the party. Every party seems to go just a little bit more smoothly with the Nexus Rock Band involved.
